Here's my dilemma: I love going to the gym and lifting weights, but I've been going at night for a very long time. Basiy, I wait until my wife gets home from work, she's taken a shower, my are fed, the is asleep (normally), and my older daughter is going to bed. Then I go to the gym. Sometimes I'm so exhausted that I have to lay down a few minutes before I can go, or I take a lot of caffeine. Then when I get home from the gym, and take a shower, and eat, I'm never sleepy. So I go to bed way too late, and don't sleep enough. That was fine for a while, but now it's taking a toll on me (last week, I slept only 4 hours on two consecutive nights). So I'm thinking of trying to go to the gym during the day with my and leaving them in the childcare area, but I'm so afraid that my one year old is going to cry her head off. Even if she doesn't cry, I'm afraid the worker won't watch her well or hold her if she gets sleepy. I actually did try taking my older daughter to the gym before my 2nd daughter was born, and it didn't work. I think my older daughter (who's 5 1/2) would do okay now, but I'm worried about the younger one. I'm just wondering how other stay-at-home parents do it.
